I’m sure many of you have noticed that I am consistently wearing the same jacket in a lot of my winter photos. I have a couple friends who work at a high end outdoor store, and always were talking about their Arc’teryx jackets. I honestly didn’t understand what all the hype was about, until they convinced me to buy one.
The Arc’teryx Atom LT Hoody is an outstanding hybrid jacket, from it’s breathable fleece side and underarm panels that ventilate the main body of the jacket, to it’s DWR hydrophobic coating, the jacket is simply amazing. The first time I tried it on, I descried it as wearing a cloud… It’s extremely light, but still has a wind and water resistant outer fabric to keep you warm and dry. Arc’teryx has long impressed the industry with its attention to detail and thoughtful features, and the Atom LT doesn’t disappoint.
The great mobility this jacket offers, has led me to use it for just about every winter activity from snowshoeing, hiking, running, ski touring, sledding, and skiing. Designed to regulate temperature and moisture during high energy output, this is a great choice for any stop and go cold weather activities. Match fine features like the comfy cuffs and an adjustable hood with an extended comfort range for high energy activity, and the Atom LT is the most versatile and comfortable jacket I’ve ever worn.
I never thought I would say this, but after purchasing Arc’teryx products, everything else feels inferior in quality, comfort, and functionality. They truly do pride themselves on perfect craftsmanship and gear strategically designed for any outdoor endeavors. I would strongly recommend this jacket to anyone who enjoys the great outdoors.
